DevOps Team Lead

A fast-growing cloud tech company that helps startups optimize infrastructure and reduce cloud costs is looking for a DevOps Team Lead to lead the evolution of its platform and infrastructure.

In this role, you’ll manage and mentor a team of highly skilled DevOps engineers, lead complex cloud projects end-to-end, and serve as the hands-on technical authority. You’ll architect cutting-edge solutions on AWS, implement modern observability stacks, and leverage automation and AI to optimize delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and scale a strong DevOps team, providing mentorship, direction, and career growth.

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain large-scale, production-grade cloud infrastructures – with an emphasis on AWS, Kubernetes, multi-region setups, and high-availability systems.

  • Take ownership of end-to-end migration projects to AWS and Kubernetes, including hands-on execution, planning, troubleshooting, and optimization.

  • Champion observability and incident readiness by building modern monitoring/logging/tracing stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).

  • Introduce automation and AI-based tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, Cline) to improve reliability and delivery speed.

  • Serve as a senior escalation point for technical challenges and drive a culture of learning, improvement, and ownership.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers, account managers, and leadership to deliver infrastructure that creates measurable business value.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of DevOps experience in high-scale, production environments.

  • At least 1 year in a team lead or managerial DevOps role.

  • Recent and hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (from your most recent roles) 

  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and deployment pipelines.

  • Experience with CI/CD methodologies and tools like GitHub Actions.

  • Strong background in observability, monitoring, and real-time alerting.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage complex environments end-to-end.

  • Scripting ability in Python, JavaScript, or similar.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, Cline, Cortex – an advantage.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
