E-commerce QA Specialist

A leading e-commerce company is looking for an talented E-commerce QA Specialist to take full ownership of the QA function within its technology team.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly independent QA professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being the sole QA owner, responsible for ensuring platform stability, seamless customer experience, and high-quality releases. The role is initially a maternity leave replacement with the potential for a long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities:

Own and manage the entire QA lifecycle, from planning and execution through production release approval.

Perform comprehensive web testing, including functional, usability, and end-to-end testing.

Validate customer journeys, checkout flows, payment processes, and e-commerce transactions.

Test and monitor Shopify-based websites, integrations, and digital experiences.

Verify data flow and integrations between e-commerce platforms and internal systems.

Collaborate closely with developers to identify, document, prioritize, and resolve issues.

Create and maintain QA documentation, test plans, test cases, and checklists.

Continuously improve QA methodologies, testing processes, and quality standards across the organization.

Ensure a flawless user experience by identifying usability issues, visual inconsistencies, and edge-case scenarios before release.
Requirements:

2-3+ years of experience in Web QA - required.

Hands-on experience working with Shopify - required.

Experience testing e-commerce websites and online purchasing flows - strong advantage.

Experience working with CRM systems and validating integrations and data flow - significant advantage.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, web technologies, and testing best practices.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify even the smallest issues.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities independently.

Proven ability to work as a sole QA owner and drive quality initiatives autonomously.
