Senior Bookkeeper

An e-commerce company is looking for a senior, independent and thorough Bookkeeper to lead the company's accounting function end to end.
Full, ongoing management of the company's bookkeeping up to balance sheet level. The role includes end-to-end responsibility for the bookkeeping processes, working with suppliers in Israel and abroad, banks, credit companies, tax authorities and internal parties, with accuracy, self-control, meeting deadlines and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with many interfaces.
Responsibilities:
• Bookkeeping up to balance: Fully independent management of the company's books up to the trial balance, and preparing audit files for the accountant.
• Reconciliations and settlement: Reconciliations of banks, credit cards, and settlement and e-commerce platforms.
• Suppliers and foreign currency: Recording invoices, managing payment dates, handling
domestic and foreign suppliers, analyzing exchange rate differences and issuing self-
invoices.
• Import and inventory: Controlling import processes, working with customs agents and
analyzing inventory costs (COGS).
• Reporting to authorities: Preparing and submitting periodic reports to the tax authorities
(VAT, withholding and advances) as required by law.
Requirements:
• Bookkeeping certificate, type 2 - mandatory (type 3 - significant advantage).
• At least 10 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience - mandatory.
• Proven experience working independently "up to balance" - mandatory.
• Independent experience handling suppliers abroad, working with foreign currency and
exchange rate differences - mandatory.
• Hands-on experience in an e-commerce company and settlement (payment platform)
reconciliations - significant advantage.
• Very high level of Excel (complex formulas, Pivot Tables, complex reconciliations) -
mandatory.
• Experience with Hashavshevet - significant advantage.
• Familiarity with systems such as Dokka, Zoho, Shopify or equivalent ERP systems -
advantage.
• High level of Hebrew and very good English (written and spoken communication with
suppliers and documents from abroad).
• Strong self-control, thoroughness, order and organization at a proven level.
